Delete your ThurstyPlant account

This page explains how to delete your ThurstyPlant account and the data linked to it.

Option 1: delete it in the app (fastest)

Open the ThurstyPlant app and sign in.
Go to Settings.
Under Account, tap Delete account.
Confirm twice. Your account and data are removed right away.

Option 2: request deletion by email

If you can no longer open the app, email us from the address used for your account at thurstyplant@gmail.com with the subject "Delete my ThurstyPlant account". We will delete your account and data and confirm by email.

What is deleted

Your account (email address and login).
All plants you added, including names, rooms, notes and watering dates.
All plant photos you uploaded.
Scheduled watering reminders on your device are cleared when you delete the account in the app.

What may be kept

Technical records kept by our service providers (for example security and access logs), and backup copies, may remain for a limited period and are not used for any other purpose.
Purchase records held by Google Play and our subscription provider RevenueCat may be kept by them as required by law.

Your subscription

Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription bought through Google Play. Please cancel it in the Google Play Store under Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions to avoid further charges.
